Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Her debut film part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody was a model when she was approached. The outcome proved to be a lucrative career. Doody did not like glamour or nude work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. After being spotted by to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody is listed as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 most promising actors in 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 when she took on the character as a Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading role. The episode aired in 1988 opposite John Hurt, Dawn French along with Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After nearly a decade from screen Doody came back to acting, by playing a minor role in the 2003 British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. in 2004, Doody starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she was honored by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and was awarded the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
