Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she finished second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003 and signed with Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in all events.
